Orgeron Lands A Transfer

(SID) OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron announced Tuesday the signing of former UCLA Bruin Jeremy McGee to a football scholarship. McGee is currently completing his coursework at UCLA and is scheduled to enroll at Ole Miss in July.

"We are excited to have Jeremy McGee joining our program," said Orgeron, who is entering his third season at the helm of the Rebel program. "Transfers like BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Jevan Snead help our program. He is from Louisiana, a state where we have recruited well. We welcome Jeremy and his family to our Ole Miss family."

Due to NCAA transfer rules, McGee, who played as a true freshman for UCLA this past season, must sit out the 2007 campaign at Ole Miss, but will still have three years of eligibility remaining, beginning with the 2008 season.
