Rebs Advance With Win Over Vols

Birmingham- In from the game a little bit earlier tonight than last night. But it was well worth it at as the Rebels defeated UT tonight 6-3. The Rebels came out hot and put five runs on the board in the first inning. From there on out there was not much to it, but holding off the UT offense. Lance Lynn pitched an up and down game for the Rebs and struggled a little bit.

Lance fought the tough strike zone of the umpire all night. A zone that eventually got Mike Bianco ejected but not before a loud applause by Rebel fans. Cody Satterwhite came into finish the game and pitched a great last two innings.

The only runs put on the board by the Vols was a three run homer by Delmonico. They threatened a couple of more times but the Rebel defense kept them from scoring.

This game was up and down for the Rebs. They came out hot but cooled down for a little while during the game. But a win is a win and I will take it anyway we can get them.

They now have the day off and wiL have to wait and see who they play on Saturday, as UT and Vandy square off tomorrow night.
