Baseball Rebs Get Honors

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss earned seven spots on the All-SEC teams selected by the league’s coaches while outfielder Jordan Henry was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, the league office announced on Monday.

It is the third Freshman of the Year selection for a player under head coach Mike Bianco as Henry joins Seth Smith (2002) and All-American Stephen Head (2003) in earning the honor.

Shortstop Zack Cozart earned First Team All-SEC honors, while Henry joined sophomore right-hander’s Lance Lynn and Cody Satterwhite on the All-SEC Second Team. Lynn was named as a starting pitcher, while Satterwhite earned a spot as a relief pitcher.

Henry was also named to the All-Freshman team along with second baseman Zach Miller and left-handed pitcher Nathan Baker.
