Lane Out

OXFORD — Ole Miss tight end Robert Lane will not be play Saturday when the Rebels (2-4, 1-2 SEC) play at Alabama (4-2, 1-2), coach Ed Orgeron said today.
Lane sprained his right knee in the second quarter of last Saturday’s 17-10 victory over Vanderbilt. Orgeron said Lane will likely be out for a couple of weeks. Lane will be replaced in the starting lineup by senior Lawrence Lilly. “It was something that I’ve got to deal with,” said Lane, who was wearing a knee brace today. “It’s part of football. So I¹m going to rehab it and see how it goes day by day.”
