Change of Venue

From the Clarion Ledger below. I must have missed when this was originally announced. I have no feelings one way or the other. All I can say is that the City of Jackson ruined their chances of restoring downtown by not building a stadium for them in downtown Jackson. But then again what do you expect from the leadership down there.

(C-L)Among events scheduled for Trustmark Park in Pearl 27 are several high school and college baseball games, including the Governor’s Cup matchup between Ole Miss and Mississippi State on April 17.

The Governor’s Cup — formerly the Mayor’s Trophy — will be played at Trustmark Park for the first time since moving from Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson after the 2006 season.
