Another Pathetic Showing
This is getting to be a trend in mid week games for the Ole Miss baseball team, losing against very bad no name teams. Honestly, I know baseball is a long season and you do not win them all, but you do win mid week games against Central Arkansas. This is getting to be pathetic, way to much talent for this.

OXFORD, Miss. – Fuller Smith turned in a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a run scored, but it wasn’t enough as the No. 8 Ole Miss (13-6, 2-1 SEC) didn’t take advantage of opportunities down the stretch in a 4-3 loss to Central Arkansas (8-11) on Tuesday.
Despite recording 10 hits on the night, the Rebels left 15 men stranded on the night in the loss.
Fuller Smith led the Rebels with his four hit performance, while Logan Power and Cody Overbeck also recorded two hits each.
Justin Cryer (1-2) suffered the loss as he gave up one run on two hits with three walks and two strikeouts in 1.0 inning of work. Cryer entered the game in the ninth and held the Bears off the board, but gave up the go-ahead run in the 10th.
Matt Humphrey (2-2) picked up the win as he worked the final 2.2 innings and allowed two hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
“It’s a disappointing loss,” said Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco. “We had opportunities tonight and we didn’t take advantage of them. We didn’t get the hit when we needed it and we didn’t go out and win it on the mound.”
