SEC Defensive Player of the Week



(UMAA)BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After helping Ole Miss to a season-opening win at Memphis, Dustin Mouzon was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week Monday, as announced by the league office.



A junior from Orlando, Mouzon recorded two interceptions on Saturday and returned the second 99 yards for his first career touchdown. It was the longest return by a Rebel since 1962 and tied for the third-longest in school history. He is the first Ole Miss player with two picks in the same game since 1992.



Mouzon also collected a career-high six solo tackles and recovered a fumble on the Tigers’ nine-yard line.
