My First SEC Baseball Tournament

I have attended many SEC Basketball Tournaments over the years, but have never made the trip to Hoover. One of the main reasons is the Rebels have made few appearences there until recenlty. I would have to say things for the most part ran smoothly. I really thought there would be more fans there for each team. aside from Ole Miss, Alabama, and MSU there were not many fans for other teams there. Several observations: On the first night, we were forced to park several miles from the stadium and were bussed to the Met in school busses. After the championship game was over, we stayed in the parking lot for AN HOUR AND A HALF. This was absolutely ridiculous, there were only 12,000 people there, it was not like a professional game with 50,000 people there. This really made all fans mad at the SEC and the city of Hoover.It is my honest opinion, the tournament should be moved to Autozone Park in Memphis. The ballpark is amazing and is the perfect size for the tournament. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance of the stadium, many right outside the front gate. People complain about there is no RV parking but, they can easily park on the riverfront and have a transport for them to the stadium. I really hope the city of Memphis makes a push for this tournament, not just for Ole Miss fans but for SEC baseball fans.
