SEC TOURNEY RECAP

Ole Miss lost in the Championship Game to in-state rival Mississippi State on Sunday. The worn out Rebels lost in a 4-1 decision in front of a packed Hoover Met. Ole Miss, which had played 6 games in 5 days never could get the bats going to start a rally. Mississippi State got on the board with a three run inning and that was enough to silence the Rebs as they had few base runners throughout the game. About 5,000 Rebel fans made the trip to cheer on the Rebs.

On Saturday the Rebels were Red hot. Beating Florida in two games in one afternoon was a spectacular accomplishment. Anthony Cups and Tommy Bumgardner pitched two great games for the Diamond Rebs. Ole Miss could not be stopped at the plate in which nearly every player had an RBI on Saturday.
