On The Edge of My Seat

Birmingham, AL- For those Rebel fans that stayed up late into the night, last night's game at the Hoover Met made us all nervous. With two runners on in the bottom of the ninth, there was tons of pressure building inside the stadium. However in Stephen Head fashion, he pulled us through. Ole Miss fans were out numbered at least 15-1 but they made plenty of noise to lead the Rebels to a 3-1 victory over Alabama. Mark Holliman pitched a heck of a game with 14 strike outs, an Ole Miss record. All the Rebels played well, we just need to get a few more bats connecting if we are going to make it to the final on Sunday. I liked the way we played and we seemed fired up and focused to win this thing. Tonight, we face Florida, a team we beat twice early in the season. Ole Miss will face ex-Rebel Alan Horne, whom the Rebels rocked in their previous game in Oxford. No doubt, he will be seeking revenge against the Rebels. The set up at the Met is great, and if we win tonight I would encourage Rebel fans to make the quick trip over here for Saturday. Game time is at 8:00, however we did not throw out the first pitch last night until 9:50.
