OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss right-hander Wade Broyles, a rising sophomore with the Ole Miss baseball team, was selected to participate in the Coastal Plains League All-Star Game, the league announced on Friday.

Broyles is pitching for the Thomasville HiToms this summer and has posted a 3-0 record in 23.0 innings pitched with a perfect 0.00 ERA. Broyles has allowed only one unearned run in his time on the mound, while striking out 35 batters to date.

The game will be played at Capital City Stadium in Columbia, S.C., on Tuesday, July 17. First-pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. CST. Festivities surrounding the event, including a home run derby, will be held on Monday, July 16.

Broyles pitched in two games for the Rebels in 2007, combining for a shutout of Murray State on April 24. In his time on the mound, Broyles allowed one hit while walking three and striking out two.
