Rebs Named to Pre-Season Teams

(UMAA)BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A pair of Ole Miss Rebels were distinguished on the Pre-Season All-SEC Media Team Friday, as voted on by members of the press in the concluding day of the 2007 SEC Football Media Days at the Wynfrey Hotel.
Junior Michael Oher was named a first-team offensive lineman, while senior BenJarvus Green-Ellis was chosen as a second-team running back. Green-Ellis, who joined head coach Ed Orgeron and teammate Marcus Tillman in representing the Rebels in Birmingham Friday, was the highest vote-getter on the second team, finishing one vote behind Arkansas' Felix Jones for first-team tailback honors.
The 2007 SEC Football Media Days was the highest attended in the 23 years of the event. The media days drew an attendance of 830, which was larger than last year's attendance of 685.
On the All-SEC Teams, LSU led all schools with eight selections followed by Kentucky and Florida with six each while Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee each had five players on the first and second teams. Arkansas led all teams with five players selected to the first team followed by LSU with four. Every SEC team was represented on either the first or second team.
