Interested To See How Far This Goes

STARKVILLE — A Hinds County Chancery Court judge will hear a request for a court order to stop the reseating process for the upcoming basketball season at Mississippi State's Humphrey Coliseum, MSU athletic director Larry Templeton confirmed Saturday.
"We intend to be there in court Monday morning to state our case," Templeton said Saturday, at halftime of MSU's 35-3 football win over Jacksonville State.
Templeton declined to identify who filed the injunction request.
MSU's plan to rearrange the way it assigns seats to season-ticket holders has angered some longtime ticket holders, who claim they were told years ago they could keep the same seats as long as they continued to renew their season tickets.
The new plan is assigning seats based on a Bulldog Club points system that gives preference to higher donors.
The non-profit Bulldog Club is the university's main arm for funding its athletic scholarships. The group contends that by reseating the coliseum based on rewarding top donors, it will be able to increase the amount of money it raises.(Clarion Ledger)
