Musical Chairs

Well there is more saga in the baseball coaching ranks. It appears that Ole Miss assistant Kyle Bunn will not be going to Louisville along side Dan McDonnell. Bunn will stay in Oxford and become a "full time" coach. Bunn will take over the spot that was vacated today by Stewart Lake, Lake will be moving back to the Citadel to be the number one assistant. Why in the world someone would do that I have no idea, but evidently his wife has alot of say in what they do. Lord knows I would never move from the SEC to the Citadel for an assistant coach job.

So here is the new scenario the way I see it. Bunn will become a full time paid coach and will continue to handle the pitching. Carl Lafferty will be promoted from his administrative role to an assistant of some sort. That leaves another space, in which Bianco will probably hire a guy from South Alabama that will be in charge of infielders and hitting. If they hire another administrative guy, expect it to be a former player who has been in and out of independent ball.
