Minor League Update from the C-L

Former Ole Miss right fielder Mark Wright went 1-for-10 with two RBIs in his first three games with the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Wright signed a contract with the New York Mets last week and reported to their Class-A, short season affiliate. He hit a two-run, ground-rule double in his second game with the club.

Wright was the only one of five former Ole Miss players to play in his team's season-opening series last week. Reliever Garrett White (Los Angeles Dodgers), center fielder Alex Presley (Pittsburgh Pirates), catcher Justin Brashear (Arizona Diamondbacks) and pitcher Tommy Baumgardner (Colorado Rockies) also signed professional contracts.
