Baseball Notes:

- Former Rebel T.J. Beam was called up by the Yankees yesterday and pitched a couple of innings in a loss to the Washington Nationals. It appears Beam will be used as a reliever to replace a Yankee pitcher that has been put on the injured roster

-Mark Wright has signed with the Mets and has already reported to their organization. This is probably a good thing, because all clues pointed towards Wright not being much of a scholar and going to class seemed to be a problem. Next year was questionable academically anyway.

-The note I hate to report is that Justin Brashear will be going pro and sign a contract in the next couple of days. I truly feel like Justin should stay another year, but I wish him the best and hope this does not turn out to be a mistake for him. The only Rebel left to decide is Alex Presley.
