I love and have loved everything this guy has said since he was doing his. "that's the bottom line" speeches on WLBT:

Melton said he is looking for drugs and guns as part of his campaign against crime in the capital city.

In a news conference before the mission began, Melton said he is weighing a number of options for ramping up that fight, including lowering a juvenile curfew to 7 p.m. and approaching Gov. Haley Barbour to use the National Guard.

“We’ve got a war in Jackson,” he said. “I’m thinking through signing a state of emergency (order).”
