I Absolutely Hate This

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss and University of Memphis athletics officials announced Thursday that they have agreed to move their scheduled September 2 season opener at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium/Hollingsworth Field to Sunday, September 3, in order to accommodate a national telecast by ESPN. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. CT.
"Getting national TV exposure through ESPN is important with a rising program like ours," said Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone.
The game will mark the fifth televised contest in the series, which dates back to 1921. The ESPN family carried last year's Labor Day encounter and the 2003 meeting from the Liberty Bowl, while Jefferson Pilot Sports did the 1998 and 2002 games from Oxford
