Aint Going Nowhere

Personally I was never worried. Did not think he was going to leave

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone announced Wednesday a one-year contract extension for head baseball coach Mike Bianco, which runs through the 2010 season. Four-year contracts are the longest granted in Mississippi by the Board of Trustees, State Institutions of Higher Learning.

"We are excited to be able to announce this contract extension and feel fortunate that Mike, Camie and their children love Oxford, Ole Miss and the Rebel fans," Boone said. "We expect them to be here for years to come.

"Based on his outstanding conference record over the last four years, Mike has proven to be one of the best coaches in the SEC, if not the best," Boone said. "We believe he will be one of the highest paid baseball coaches in the SEC."
