He's Back

David Saunders is coming back to Ole Miss. Saunders who most recently was the head coach at Milsaps will be taking over for Shawn Slocum who will be joining the Green Bay Packers staff. Saunders will coach the linebackers for Coach Ed Orgeron.

Saunders was previously employed by the University as Recruiting Coordinator. At the time he was looked at as one of the nations top recruiters by ESPN. This adds another tireless worker to Coach Orgeron's already hard working staff.

I think this is a good move by Orgeron. Saunders has the same type mentality as Wener, Kehoe, Orgeron and others. The fact that coaches have left and that some may leave before spring practice is not a problem. This happens often with first-year staffs. There is nothing to get fired up about over this. Saunders will help Coach O with the fans also, as he was generally liked among Rebel fans.
