Find A Way

It was a big time win tonight for the Rebels who found a way to beat the South Carolina tonight 68-63 in front of a crowd of about 5,500 at Tad Smith Coliseum. The Rebels were led tonight by Bam Doyne who put up 23 points. South Carolina was within two points twice in the past minute and a half as the Rebels watched their eleven point lead dwindle, but the Rebels fought back and made it happen.

The Rebels were out rebounded alot tonight on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. For us to complete we are going to have to solve this problem. I was glad to see Marquis Young step up and get a few boards for the Rebs. He has got a lot of work and maturing to do, but he stepped it up and rebounded well when we needed him to. I am also glad to see the Rebels shooting better from the field and from the free throw line.

The Rebel basketball team has their best start since the 2000-2001 season. I am happy for this young team and look forward to seeing them play this year. The Rebels improve to 12-3 and 2-0 in the conference and take on Mississppi State on Saturday at noon.
