House Searching in Oxford

Searching for a house to live in Oxford is the most outrageous thing I have ever been involved in. There is no easy way to find a rental house. Every house is owned by some random person around town. When you find a house, and quit searching expecting the landlord to be a reasonable person, don't bet on it. We found this house and were expecting to live there next year, cause the landlord said it was all ours. Then one day he up and decides to rent it to someone else. So now all the houses that aren't located on some random county road somewhere are taken. So if anybody knows of any houses around town available for rent or the name of one of the these random landlords please let me know, you might even be compensated.
