Collegiate Baseball P.OW.

(UMAA)Junior right-hander Lance Lynn earned National Pitcher of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced Monday when it released it’s poll. Ole Miss remained at fourth in the Collegiate Baseball rankings and also moved up to fourth in the Baseball Writer’s poll.

Lynn was also named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week by the league office on Monday when it announced its first round of weekly award winners.

Lynn set the tone for the weekend as he struck out 12 batters, including eight straight batters to open the game. In his 5.0 innings on the mound, the right-hander allowed only two hits and held the Golden Gophers scoreless. The 12 strikeouts tied a career-high for the Rebel pitcher.
