Tupelo native gone for lack of commitmentHancock, meanwhile, was dismissed by Bianco because of “lack of commitment to the program.”“With matters like that and things inside the program, it’s tough to say too much about it,” Bianco said.“If he wanted to be a part of this program, he needed to show more than he was showing.”Hancock, a product of Tupelo High School, made 79 starts over the last two seasons in the outfield and at designated hitter. He’s also pitched out of the bullpen and made one start at first base.He hit .277 (75-for-271) in his Ole Miss career with five home runs, 54 RBIs, 30 runs and 25 doubles. As a right-handed pitcher, he had a 4.63 ERA, allowing six earned runs in 11.2 innings.
