Rebels Whipped By Hogs

Ole Miss went into Arkansas and it was bad from the very beginning. The Razorbacks started the game with a 99 yard kick off return and never looked back as they went on to win 38-3. The 15th ranked Razorbacks pretty much had control of the entire game.

The story of the day for the Rebels was the lack of execution on the offensive side of the ball. Between QB Brent Schaeffer's passing and the wide receivers inability to catch a pass, the Rebels never really could put a complete drive together the entire day. If and when the Rebels got the ball into Arkansas territory, the Rebels could not put it in the endzone. The only points came in the second quarter when the Rebels settled for a field goal.

Coach O stated in the post game press conference that the Rebels never really had the intensity they needed going into the game. In his own words he said "I don't know if we had a lot of wind in our sails going into the situation." Well Coach we needed alot of wind in our sails if we were ever going to have a chance against a very good Arkansas team.

We all knew coming into the season that the receivers were going to be a question mark on our season. Yesterday answered the question, the receivers are really bad. They dropped numerous passes that hit them right in the hands all day. The ones they did not drop were over thrown by Schaeffer all day also. After an improved performance against Alabama, the Rebels prized recruit went back to his previous games this season as he dissapointed the Rebel faithful with his attempted passes.

I don't know what the answer is for the rest of the season. The Rebels schedule gets harder next week as they host top ten rival Auburn. Auburn is a good team and will more than likely destroy the Rebels.
