Update

Updated: Well the rumors did not hold up. Mark Goforth, has decided to go to Mississippi State. It appears Goforth was on campus and was ready to play for us, but for some reason or another decided to go to MSU. A couple of scenarios are that Bianco could not offer him as much scholarship money as he wanted or he could not be guaranteed a starting position. I have a feeling it is the scholly money. Not sure if we will ever know. No reason to get down about this one, let's just move on.

Expect the announcement of a transfer to the Ole Miss baseball team in the next couple of days. Mark Goforth is rumored to be transfering to Ole Miss from Birmingham Southern. Due to BSC moving down in the NCAA he will not have to sit out a year. Goforth was named to the Louisville Slugger freshman All-American team this year.

The freshman from Covington, Tenn., led the Panthers with a .363 batting average and 27 stolen bases while starting in 54 games in centerfield. He also led BSC with 82 hits and 56 runs scored and had eight doubles, three triples and a .428 on base percentage.
