Indians Let The Rebels Have It

I knew this would happen. Arkansas State is always fired up and ready to play us. Their coaching staff is always ready to beat us and they have done that just about every year for the past five years. Keith Kessinger will always coach his guts out to gain revenge against Ole Miss.

OXFORD, Miss. - - It was a long day at the park for the Rebels on Tuesday, as 18th-ranked Ole Miss (6-2) couldn't overcome costly errors in a tough second inning in a 14-9 loss to Arkansas State (7-2). The Rebels put three runs on the board in the bottom of the first, but struggled to get through the top half of the second, giving up 10 runs on seven hits and committing four errors. The seven run lead proved to be too much for Ole Miss to overcome, despite notching nine runs on only six hits on the night.
Brett Bukvich (0-2) suffered his second loss of the season as he gave up nine runs, but only three of them earned, in his 1.2 innings of work. Bukvich allowed seven hits while walking none and striking out one batter.
