Head to The Pen

We're going to switch the rotation up a little bit. We're going to go with (Mark) Holliman, (Matt) Maloney and (Anthony) Cupps, and put Head in the bullpen for a couple of reasons. One, physically, it's been difficult on Matt to be the number one reliever and number one closer. I think it will help him as far as having a more specific schedule and know when he's going to throw. It takes a special pitcher to be able to pitch often, every day, or to throw 25-30 pitches and come back on a day's rest. I thought this would give us a good jumpstart to get him out on the mound. Certainly when you lose two out of three and Matt's arguably our best pitcher, and he only threw 13 pitches, we wanted to utilize him better. And Stephen is such a gamer that it doesn't matter if he starts or relieves; he's always going to be there to win the game for you.
