Diamond Rebs

The pre-season ranked 16th team in the nation has started off winter practices with two straight scrimmages. The Rebels under Coach Mike Bianco have been swinging the bats at newly renovated Swayze Field. By no surprise, Brian Pettway and Stephen Head have taken advantage of the fences being moved in. They hit back to back homeruns in today's scrimmage. Many young pitchers are getting a chance to prove themselves. Spectators say Chris Moffett looked impressive today. Also taking the mound today was Michael Wakefield. We will hopefully take an in depth look at the Rebs before the season starts.
