Rebs-Cajuns to Be on TV

It was announced this afternoon the Ole Miss LSU game will be broadcast on national tv via CBS for a 2:30 kickoff in two weeks. It will mark the first time this season the Rebels have appeared on CBS as the SEC game of the week.

Mixed reactions to this announcement. Some don't want tv at all. Others wanted a night game. Others could care less. Me personally, I was pushing for a night game. I think the LSU-Ole Miss game is meant for a night game in cold weather, that is the only way I know it. But I will settle for the 2:30 kickoff.

Obviously this game is only on tv because of LSU. However this game is traditionally a good game. Both teams have intense hatred for each other and no matter the talent level, there is always excitement over this game.

Should be interesting to see the attendance of Rebel fans at this game.

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Nov. 17 game between Ole Miss and LSU will be televised by CBS Sports, and kickoff has been set for 2:30 p.m. CT at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
This will mark the Rebels' fourth TV appearance of the season and first on CBS. Ole Miss' last game on CBS was the Alabama game a year ago.
Over the last four seasons, 41 of the Rebels’ 70 games have been televised. All-time, this game will be the Rebels’ 160th TV appearance since Ole Miss made its TV debut in the 1953 Sugar Bowl versus Georgia Tech. The Rebels are 70-87-2 all-time in TV games.
