Trustmark Park and Golden Buzzards

(AP) Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss have decided to move their annual baseball game in Jackson from Smith Wills Stadium to Trustmark Park in Pearl - the home of the Mississippi Braves.
The April 4, 2006, game will also be televised, but school officials have not released which network will carry the instate matchup.
Officials at Trustmark Park have been trying to lure away college baseball games from Smith Wills Stadium in Jackson to the new stadium in Pearl. Smith Wills is home to the Jackson Senators, an independent minor league baseball team and is much older than Trustmark Park.
"I'm excited about the opportunity our players have to play in one of the premiere baseball facilities in this part of the country," Southern Miss coach Corky Palmer said. "It also gives our fans a chance to see two quality in-state teams play a game in such an outstanding setting."
