Rebs Win on the Road

I celebrated MLK day a day early and was not able to post yesterday, so here is the report from the Auburn game. The Rebels pulled off a 79-72 win over the Auburn Tigers. The Rebels were led by Marvin Moore with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Moore, who came out of nowhere to play good in this game, looked impressive against Auburn. Moore matched up good against Auburn because the Tigers are a small team and Moore handled them in the post. Londrick Nolen also contributed 21 points, 18 of which came in the second half. The Tigers were led by SEC leading scorer Toney Douglas with 22 points. Coach Rod Barnes elected to start Marvin Moore instead of Londrick Nolen, it turned out to be a good move for both. It was good to see Londrick Nolen get back into his rhythm and to know Marvin Moore can actually score. Hopefully the Rebels can carry this momentum into the Kentucky game on Wednesday. More info on the UK game this week.
