R.C.'s Son

Shawn Slocum, the son of former Texas A&M coach R.C. Slocum, is being reported as being hired by Ole Miss. Shawn spent ten seasons coaching several positions with his dad at Texas A&M. The younger Slocum was the special teams coordinator and linebackers coach at USC along with Orgeron under then USC coach Paul Hacket. He then returned back to A&M before being relieved of his duties when R.C. was fired. He spent last year in the construction business, while not coaching football. Hope Orgeron knows what he is doing with the hiring of Shawn.
