Lady Rebs fall to Tigers

The Ole Miss Lady Rebels lost to the number one team in the nation tonight. The LSU Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Rebels 82-58. LSU is a very good team that really hits the boards hard. Best rebounding team, men or women I have seen all season. They just find a way to score and are definitely a top 5 team in the nation. For the Lady Rebels they really good not find their groove tonight. They cut the lead to about 7 in the second half, but LSU ran away with it from their. "Downtown" Carletta Brown led all Rebel scorers with 17 points. The attendance tonight was about 3,900, which was probably the same as the men's game last night. On another note, Christie Sides, the former MPSA standout from the mid-90's is an assistant coach for LSU. I remember watching her play at Hillcrest in the state tournament, she was really good, and held many MPSA records for a while. It does not get easier for the Lady Rebels as the travel to Tennessee later this week.
