The Goose Is Loose

The Ole Miss baseball team defeated Belmont 18-0 this afternoon. The highlight of the afternoon was seeing Michael "Goose" Wakefield on the mound for the Rebels. Wakefield was put in the game in the eighth inning. The small section of students in the stands cheered loudly for the Goose. David Kellum and Richard Cross of the Ole Miss broadcasting team commented on the crowd noise. The crowd was yelling GOOOOOOSE and they thought they were yelling BOOOOOOOOO. It was a fun game to attend and glad to see my friend get into the game. The Rebels return to action this weekend for a three game series against Southern Illinois.
