World Class Glass

For those of you who do not know who Gerald Glass is, he was one of the greatest basketball players Ole Miss ever had. Although Gerald only played at Ole Miss for two years(transfered from Delta State) he is a member of the 1,000 point club. Had Gerald been at Ole Miss all four years he would lead the all time scoring by several hundred. Gerald was an All-American from Greenwood's Amanda Elzy who became drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves. After playing in the league with the Timberwolves and later with the Detroit Pistons Gerald became injured and sat out of the league for several years. Gerald returned to Mississippi and if I am not mistaken coached at Brandon High School and is currently finishing his degree. Over the next several weeks we will take a look at the life of Gerald Glass and his impact on Ole Miss basketball and the life of several Mississippians. Tell me what you would like to know about this former all time great and I will see what I kind do. I would also like to know if anyone remembers him or any of the games he played in.
